Hal Higdon's Website
This link is to Mr. Hal Higdon's website. Following his excellent Virtual Training programme made it possible for me to get to and finish my first marathon. His bulletin board is a unique tool via which I kept in touch with ALL other virtual trainers across the U.S. Thank you Hal!!
The WellStar Healthplace
This is the gym that I use to train for weights and also to use the treadmill when I don't feel like running outside. The staff and the members are very nice folks. Easy-going and fun to talk to. I think that is a very important point. It has quite a good choice of weight equipment (both circuit and free-weights) and lots of treadmills and bikes and other aerobic workout equipment.
The Silver Comet Trail
I go to this trail for doing my long runs on the week-ends. Nice asphalt trail, with quite a few other runners and bicyclists.
The Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area
This is another trail that I use (only occasionally) for my mid-distance runs. It is a 3 mile gravel loop by the Chattahoochee river with the option to run on the Columns Drive (outside the park) which is paved and adds a total of 5 miles to the loop.
