Liberals:
Divide, Hate and Rule
Rich
B, January 26, 2004 The following is an
excerpt from an interview with George Carlin the comedian. The interviewer is
Michael Deeds of the Idaho Statesman. “Q:
You're known as a very liberal comic. Are you trying to change people's
political views when you go out there? Do you have an underlying agenda? A: No.
First of all, I'm not liberal. I'm just about (being) anti-United States. I
don't like the way this country operates. I think we've ruined this place. And I
think it's largely because of businessmen. And businessmen are not liberals. So
if that makes me a liberal, then that's just an association. It's not a choice.
... “ This statement
demonstrates the way these liberals operate. It is a classic example of how far
left our fellow citizens in Hollywood have drifted. Mr. Carlin is just one of
the many entertainers who simply put, Hate America. To name a few more for
example, take Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lang, Martin
Sheen and Barbara Streisand. I could go on and on. Each one of the people
mentioned above, has expressed their anti-America sentiments very amply either
by words or actions. To go back to Mr. Carlin, if he feels so poorly about the
United States, then I welcome him to leave the country, just like Ms. Paltrow
did in reality. Mr. Carlin does not even mount a convincing argument as to why
he hates his own country. Vast all-inclusive statements like “…. we’ve
ruined this place. And I think it’s largely because of businessmen. And
businessmen are not liberals…” are by their very nature, faulty and untrue.
Is he not a businessman himself? How does he earn all this money? Just by being
a comedian and ignoring his material survival? Is he so dedicated to his art
that he does not care about money? I don’t think so. He is very much a
businessman actively advertising, producing and selling his product at a profit.
Capitalism at its best… don’t tell that to Mr. Carlin though. I can tell him
this much though: Yes, Mr. Carlin you are indeed a businessman and guess what?
You don’t hate yourself. Just the opposite in fact, you love nobody else. Further in response to the above question by Mr. Deeds, he
says “…this experiment, this magnificent experiment in democracy is just
being shredded to pieces by these right-wing Christians, the Ashcroft branch of
Republicanism. (They're) just shredding the rest of the Bill of Rights which
hadn't been shredded already. (But) they'd been doing a pretty good job on it up
until then, anyway…” Again, meaningless drivel, designed to sound meaningful
to other liberals just waiting for a new way to hate America. What have the
right-wing Christians done to “shred” the Bill of Rights? Obviously Mr.
Carlin won’t be able to provide a single example. Not every conservative
Christian is a right wing, minority hating, gun-toting life member of the KKK,
Mr. Carlin. I admit that there are a few off-the wall loonies on the
conservative side but there are many more in Hollywood and Berkeley, who are
much more active than the average unpopular clan member.
No one in their right mind (no pun intended!) listens to the occasional
rants and raves of a clan member nowadays. The trouble is that a sizable number
of seemingly balanced people actually listen to the liberals. Unfortunately. Mr. Carlin also bands in Attorney General of the United
States Mr. John Ashcroft with the so-called “right-wing Christians”. Again,
being conservative does not make one a right-wing Christian. When will they ever
learn, these liberals? As far as I know, doing everything possible to protect
the United States from further attacks like the ones on September 11th
2001 is not the same as shredding the Bill of Rights. But obviously, if one
hates America so vehemently as Mr. Carlin, the Patriot Act is a horrible entity
worthy of precipitous and complete destruction. Who cares if America is attacked
again… certainly not Mr. Carlin. Just look at the ruling today by a federal Judge in
California: Some parts of the Patriot Act are deemed unconstitutional. Why? It
is because those “unconstitutional” parts prevent an American from giving
expert advice to terrorist groups based outside our country. The Judge said that
it was a violation of the First Amendment. What hogwash! What do I think of all this? I think the time has come to
wake up and smell the liberal propaganda. If we let these Hollywood leftist
activists push their views on us mutely, we are guilty by association and bear
the responsibility of furthering the downfall of our society. The one thing we
need to remember is that Socialism, government handouts and hating this country
is not what makes us great as Americans. We also need to realize that the
liberals are desperately trying to get back the control of the government at all
costs. The primary way they try to achieve this objective is by applying the
tried and tested “Divide and Rule” policy. Otherwise known as Rich vs. Poor
or haves vs. have-nots. The liberals thrive by promoting racial discrimination
(referred to more commonly as Affirmative Action). The liberals have a vested
interested in keeping the minorities oppressed, illiterate and uneducated, so
that their voting base never dries out. God forbid hard-working African
Americans or Indian Americans or Mexican Americans make it on their own, without
handouts or affirmative action. Where will the liberals go? Well, they will
simply go out of business. Let Mr. Carlin remember that while he bad-mouths his own country, he is getting richer and richer off of the same. He has a comfortable existence here and enjoys all the rights and privileges of living in the most advanced country in the world. So in closing I ask who are these people so ready to protect the rights of criminals and terrorists at the expense of American lives? Who are these people who hate their own country while taking advantage of all the things it has to offer? Who are these people who shun patriotism and are ashamed to be an American? And lastly, who are these people who think it is more important to be popular in Europe rather than protect their own independence? To use Mr. Carlin’s analogy, they certainly are NOT businessmen. They therefore must be liberals. It’s not a choice. |
